Can I switch from Pro or Max to Team?

Short answer: no. A personal plan (Pro or Max) cannot be upgraded or converted into Team, and you cannot pay the difference to move from one to the other. They are different kinds of plans that belong to different things. Personal plans belong to a person. Free, Pro and Max are attached to your own account. They cover your private memos and your personal projects, and only you pay for them. Team belongs to a company. Team is the corporate plan. It is attached to a company (a team workspace), not to a person, and it is billed per seat - $15 per active seat per month, monthly only. It covers the company's projects and every member in it. Because one plan is for a user and the other is for a company, there is no upgrade path between them. Moving from Max to Team is not a bigger version of the same subscription, so there is no proration and no "pay the difference". What to do if you need Team: 1. Create a company from the app. Your first company starts on a 30-day free Team trial, no card needed; when you are ready, switch to paid from the company billing page. This is a separate company subscription, billed per seat. 2. Invite your teammates by email and set up company projects for shared memory. 3. Decide what to do with your personal plan. It keeps running on its own - Team does not replace or cancel it. If you no longer need your personal limits, cancel or downgrade it from Billing; you keep it until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account drops to the permanent Free plan. Things to know: - As a member of a company you do not need a personal paid plan to work in its projects - the company's seat covers that work. - You can keep both: a personal plan for your own memory and a seat in a company on Team. - The same applies the other way: a company on Team cannot be turned into a personal plan.
