Files and attachments

You can attach files to a memo so documents and images are recalled right alongside the note. You can attach to any memo you can write to - a private memo you own or a project memo in a project where you are the owner or an editor. Allowed file types: text files, images, audio, video, PDFs, and office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OpenDocument). Other types are rejected. Size limits depend on your plan: there is a maximum size per file and a total storage allowance. The Free plan does not include file uploads at all. Pro, Max and Team increase both the per-file cap and total storage. On the Team plan, storage is allocated per seat, so the team's total grows with the number of members. (See the plans and limits article for exact numbers.) Privacy and access. Files never have a permanent public URL: a file is only reachable through a short-lived, access-checked link generated on demand. Who may ask for that link is exactly who may read the memo: - Everyone in the memo's project, viewers included. - Anyone the memo's share link admits - so a memo shared at "public" publishes its attachments along with its text. - Anyone who follows the project - whether they joined a public project through its link or were invited by email to a private one - since they read its memos. Attachments follow the content rather than being held back from it, so treat "publish this memo" as "publish what is attached to it". Deleting a file or its memo removes the file from storage. Attaching files is a paid feature (available from the Pro plan upward, with attachment as a Max onboarding step).
