Sharing memos with public links

You can turn a project memo into a shareable link - handy for handing off context: onboarding notes, a decision record, or a reusable prompt, with no login required for the reader. Important: only project memos can be shared. Private memos cannot be shared; move the note into a project first if you want a link. Three visibility levels: - Project (default): only members of the project can read it. - Company: any member of the owning company can read it (for company projects). - Public: anyone with the link can read it, no sign-in needed. What a link exposes. Two different things, do not confuse them: - Title and preview: visible to ANYONE who opens the link, at every level. This is what unfurls as a card when the link is pasted somewhere. - Full content AND attachments: shown to whoever the level admits - project members at "project", any member of the owning company at "company", and ANYONE WITH THE LINK at "public". Files follow the text, because a memo's meaning often lives in what is attached to it. So "public" really does publish the memo - its text and its files. Choose it only for a memo you are happy to have read in full, and keep anything sensitive out of the title and preview at any level, since those travel with the link regardless. Downloads are still not permanent links: a reader gets a short-lived URL minted on the spot, never a standing public address for the file. Getting a link: ask to turn sharing on for a memo, and you get a ready-to-use link of the form memocore.ai/m/<token>. It defaults to "project" visibility - you have to ask for "public" explicitly. Revoking: turn sharing off (or delete the memo) and the link stops working immediately. Plan note: share links are available on every plan, Free included - there is no plan you have to buy to hand someone a memo link. They stop working only if the plan behind the project goes inactive, and revoking always works regardless. Not to be confused with publishing a whole project. A memo link shares one memo; publishing a project (memocore.ai/p/...) opens a whole project for people to join and read, attachments included.
