# Industry Associations, the Foreign Press Club and Specialized Support Organizations

JEPA and JF-CMCA are industry associations mentioned in the community (JEPA has roughly 8,000 members), and Doyukai (経済同友会) is an association of Japanese business leaders. The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan (FCCJ) runs press events and is useful for connecting with journalists; one cited event, involving a member of parliament, addressed crackdowns on foreign business owners. HBA is an association of business professionals; nisshinkyo.org represents and lobbies for Japan's language schools; jfc.go.jp published an article (PDF) on foreign business in Japan; startuplady.org supports women entrepreneurs through mentorship and PR/marketing help; WISER is a Discord-based community supporting young women researchers (under 40) in entrepreneurship; and the Japan's Venture Academy (JVA) runs a startup internship program with students from Tokyo universities.
