# Memo history and the activity feed

Every memo keeps a full change history. Each time a memo is created or updated, Memocore records an entry with a one-line description of what changed, when it happened, and who made the change. History is never lost while the memo exists - a normal delete just archives the memo, so its history stays; it is removed only when the memo is permanently erased.

What you can do with it:
- View a memo's change log to see how it evolved.
- Fetch a specific past version of a memo.

In a shared project this is especially useful: you can see who changed a piece of team knowledge and when.

The activity feed: those one-line change descriptions also roll up into an activity feed on your dashboard, showing recent activity across your memos and projects - a quick way to see what has been added or updated lately, and by whom.

There is no time limit or retention cap on history - it is kept for the life of the memo, on every plan.
